The role of Pressotherapy in Physiotherapy

What a thrombosis is...

The thrombosis of the deep veins of the lower limbs is a serious postoperative complication in many surgical acts.

It often appears during the operative act itself as induced by many factors as:

• Immobility
• Hypercoagulability in case of high hemorrhagic surgical operation
• The eventual mobilization of intra-abdominal organs involving a possible compression of the deep venous axes.

How to prevent thromboses

Our TP 07 provides true peroperative assistance for the venous circulation in the lower limbs, with an auto-modulating pneumatic compression (EUREDUC Patent).

This compression cycle is made via 7 compartments boots that encloses the limbs to be treated.

The pressurization cycle is in sequences as such:

A part from the lonely first compression chamber, the inflation of a chamber sets off an increase of pressure in the previous inflated chamber, and so on...

This pressure gradient enables a progressive increase of the tissue pressure (stronger on distal than on proximal) and offers a potent venous drainage.
